WE follow the state boards sanitation guidelines that exist to protect the consumers health and safety.
WE wash our hands with warm water and use anti-bacterial soap before and after each client and after
using the bathroom facilities. Also,wash clients hands or feet before every service.
WE follow all manufacturers' instructions for all
products used in the salon including disinfectants.
WE read and understand the states' guidelines,rules,regulations and check the states' website to stay on
top of new regulations.
WE properly clean and disinfect our nail station,client chair,foot spa,foot spa client chair,nail treatment
stations before each client.
WE clean and disinfect our restroom and sink bowls.
WE properly clean and disinfect our implements and tools before each client service.
WE dispose of nail files(porous) that comes in contact with blood. (porous items are materials made of
cloth,wood or other absorbent materials). Like most nail files,orangewood sticks and buffer blocks.
We dispose of any porous items that are contaminated by blood,body fluid,broken skin,infections or
unhealthy conditions that disinfectants cannot disinfect.
WE properly disinfect (non-porous) items. (non-porous items are hard materials such as metal,glass or
hard plastics). Like nippers,drill bits and scissors.
WE follow local,state or federal regulations regarding items that come in contact with blood.
WE store our clean and disinfected implements in a dry clean labeled container not sealed, separate from
soiled wet implements.
WE follow all specific guidelines for cleaning, maintaining and disinfecting the foot spa. Recording every
time we clean.
WE know the difference between sanitation and disinfection. Sanitation means cleaning to remove all
visible residue or debris. Disinfection describes the use of chemicals to destroy germs on non-living
surfaces.
WE use salon disinfectants that include EPA-registered disinfectant products, 10% or higher isotropy or
ethyl alcohol.
WE service each client with a clean towel,manicure mat or pedicure mat.
WE utilize disposable items whenever possible to reduce cross contamination.
WE read and follow manufacturers' instructions for chemicals and products that are used in the salon.
WE have a Material Safety Data Sheet(MSDS)
on file and or in full view in the salon for all products used in the salon that could cause harm.
WE have read and understood the information on the MSDS sheet.
WE make certain to provide proper ventilation to reduce the intake of toxic fumes and airborne particles.
WE enforce that smoking is not allowed ever in the salon.
WE require clients to fill out a client profile. It asks the clients to list nail and skin
condition,health,profession and hobbies.
WE do not perform services on nails or skin that is or appears to be infected,swollen,has redness or
broken skin.
WE express concern for clients with possible nail and or skin problems and kindly explain why we cannot
perform services on them and refer them to a local dermatologist.
WE inform and give information to each client on how to maintain their nails and skin in between
appointments.
WE take pride in our appearance and we take time in our grooming of our hair,skin,nails and clothing. Our
salon attire will display Nails BY BREE.

We treat all clients with respect. Showing each client we care. Informing and educating clients on nail
services and referring clients to a local dermatologist when nail and or skin problems occur.

WE must display our license by our station.
WE must complete our continuing education requirements for each renewal and also take classes to
improve our skills, learn new techniques,learn about new products and stay current with the new trends
in our industry.
